MADISON, WIS. – The organizers behind the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association’s upcoming export workgroup meeting plan to share pointers for maximizing return on investment at trade shows.

WCMA shared that dairy processors and industry suppliers, regardless of association membership status, can join the hybrid meeting, set for Oct. 26 at WCMA’s offices.

The schedule for the dairy export-focused meeting features a look at trends and forecasts from Stephen Cain, director of economic research and analysis, at the US Dairy Export Council. Additionally, Dan Duran, managing director at Hidalgo Global, will cover how dairy processors can best determine their target markets and the best foreign trade shows to attend. Resources to support a company’s trade show impact also will be highlighted.

“WCMA is pleased to support dairy processors’ efforts to make the most of global sales opportunities, and strengthen the US dairy industry,” said Danica Nilsestuen, WCMA’s grants and business programs director. “We know that effective preparation and follow-up are essential to successful trade show participation, and in October we’ll offer insights on how processors can target international buyers and maximize their success in overseas markets.”

The meeting’s agenda also includes recommendations for an effective trade show experience from Sartori Cheese and MCT Dairies, with representatives from those companies also joining a panel discussion on the topic, along with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s International Agribusiness Center.

WCMA noted that every presenter at the meeting will field questions from the audience.

With in-person and Zoom options, the meeting is scheduled for 10 am to 2 pm Central on Oct. 26. More details, including registration information, are available online via WCMA’s website.
