CHICAGO – Lactalis USA, which owns Kraft’s natural and grated cheese brands, unveiled the first product launch for Kraft Natural Cheese since it was acquired by Lactalis Heritage Dairy in 2021.
The brand described its new Kraft Signature Shreds as a restaurant style, thick cut shredded cheese for elevating homemade meals. Kraft Natural Cheese shared that the products combine Kraft cheeses with “a special, premium whole-milk mozzarella” that Lactalis developed for restaurants.
The product debuts with three varieties: Cheddar Blend, Mozzarella Blend and Mexican Blend. Each blend comes packaged in an 8 oz resealable bag.
“Now more than ever, families seek ways to enhance homemade meals, improve the quality of their at-home cooking and recreate the restaurant experience at home without sacrificing time or resources,” said Ken Padgett, director of marketing for Kraft Natural Cheese. “Kraft Natural Cheese prides itself on helping families create joyful occasions out of everyday meals, and the launch of Kraft Signature Shreds will undoubtedly propel this passion even further.”
The packaging for the new products includes a QR code that consumers may scan to access an online curated menu, with recipes for appetizers, entrées and desserts.
Kraft Signature Shreds launched at national retailers, such as Kroger, Mariano’s, Publix and Food Lion, the brand shared, adding that further distribution is planned for the summer.
