EWING, N.J. — Global Standards 1 (GS1) US is hosting a webinar presented by industry leaders from the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) titled “Preparing for FSMA Rule 204 Together.”
The virtual event will be held May 6 at 2 p.m. EST and will cover the following three topics:
- Who is subject to the rule and why you should care even if you are not
- What a traceability plan is and how can you build a better one
- Supply chain role considerations for effective traceability
“In this virtual down-to-earth conversation, you’ll hear how companies in the produce industry can meet the record-keeping requirements outlined in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Traceability Rule 204,” GS1 US said. “Learn how to initiate FSMA Rule 204 conversations with trading partners, capture Critical Tracking Events in your supply chain, and optimize traceability processes.”
The webinar speakers will share tips on implementing the required traceability practices and answer questions about all things FSMA 204.
“Bring your questions on all things FSMA Rule 204! If it impacts you, it will likely matter to someone else too,” GS1 US said. “Leaders from the administering associations of PTI, including the Canadian Produce Marketing Association, GS1 Canada, GS1 US, and the International Fresh Produce Association, as well as several co-chairs of the various PTI working groups focused on FSMA Rule 204, will be on hand to answer them all.”
