NEW YORK — At the Specialty Food Association’s Summer Fancy Food Show June 23-25, Saputo USA unveiled a new Montchevre Hot Honey Goat Cheese in collaboration with Mike’s Hot Honey.

The new cheese will be ready to ship in September.

“Two high demand brands coming together to bring an innovative new flavor to consumers is a match made in cheese heaven,” said Jenny Englert, Saputo USA’s marketing director. “The combo of this beloved sweet heat paired with our delicious goat cheese is unmatched.”

‘Swicy,’ the combination of sweet and spicy, was a word heard all throughout the Fancy Food Show, as it continues to be one of the top flavor trends the food industry is tracking.

“At Mike’s Hot Honey, we believe everything is better with the perfect kick of sweet heat,” said Mike Kurtz, founder of Mike’s Hot Honey. “Goat cheese has always been one of my favorite foods to drizzle Mike’s Hot Honey on, so I’m excited for this collaboration to hit grocery shelves later this year so everyone can enjoy this delicious flavor combination too.”

Englert said one of the best uses of the new Hot Honey Goat Cheese is on pizza, and the company is encouraging consumers to try it along with a variety of other recipes that can be made better with the tangy, ‘swicy’ flavor.
