Consumers are looking for fresh foods that are both economical and nutritious.

Mushrooms fit the bill perfectly.

“Promoting mushrooms as a cost-effective option and showcasing the health benefits mushrooms provide could increase consumption among lower-income consumers,” said Bryan Shelton, vice president of sales and marketing for Giorgio Fresh Co. “It’s also crucial to boost consumption among men, especially younger men, as shopping responsibilities are more evenly shared between genders in younger generations.”

Giorgio provides a complete range of conventional, organic, and exotic mushrooms, as well as value-added products like the new Savory Sauté kits and stuffed mushrooms with popular flavors like Everything Seasoned.

The Savory Sauté kits are available in two flavors: tomato chipotle and garlic. They come with pre-sliced mushrooms and flavored butter to create a luxury gourmet cooking experience without the hassle, Shelton said.

Giorgio’s stuffed mushroom selection, meanwhile, is continually growing. The new Everything Seasoned flavor joins top sellers like Spinach Artichoke, Cheese and Bacon, and Garlic Parmesan.
