ATLANTA — Wonderful Pistachios debuted new packaging for its In-Shell and No Shells varieties at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA)’s 2024 Global Produce & Floral Show.

Wonderful said the new packaging emphasizes the company’s commitment to quality, fun and health.

The rollout will begin in Q4 2024 with the In-Shell bags. The word “Wonderful” is now larger, so consumers recognize the brand, and there is a “Get Crackin’ ” callout that reminds consumers of how fun pistachios can be to eat.

There is also a “Protein Power” logo to highlight the nutritional benefits of choosing pistachios as a snack.

The In-Shell No Salt and Lightly Salted bags will also be updated to match the No Shells versions of those flavors. “No Salt” will now be called “Unsalted” and will have white in the design. The color of the Lightly Salted bags will change from pale yellow to a calming blue, Wonderful said.

“Our revitalized packaging puts the brand front and center like never before,” said Diana Salsa, vice president of marketing at Wonderful Pistachios. “The updated packaging not only highlights our commitment to quality and health but also celebrates the unique snacking experience that only Wonderful Pistachios can provide.”  

The new No Shells bags will come out in Q1 2025 and will have the same “Get Crackin’” call out to maintain consistency and communicate that pistachios are still fun when the shells are gone.

The “Wonderful” logo will now be black instead of white, for better visibility on the shelf.
