Garden-Fresh Foods’ line of deli salads has a new addition.

Caribbean Jerk Style Cauliflower and Chickpea Salad is the seventh salad in Milwaukee-based Garden-Fresh’s Green Leaf Signature Salads line. Like all of the salads in the line, the new entry will be sold to the company’s grocery and private label customers.

Caribbean Jerk Style Cauliflower and Chickpea Salad is made with cauliflower, carrots and chickpeas and dressed in a traditional jerk-spiced vinaigrette with a hit of red chili.

"With cauliflower as popular as it is today, we wanted to develop a flavor profile that leads with this popular vegetable, which may even overtake kale as the new 'it' vegetable," says Tom Sterle, executive chef at Garden-Fresh Foods. "Cauliflower is easy to eat and is a healthy alternative to white rice and gluten-filled grains. Our new salad pairs well with lean protein like fish or chicken and is also a hearty stand-alone dish."

All of Garden-Fresh’s deli salads are made without artificial preservatives, sweeteners, colors and flavors. The company’s other salads include:
