Chicken salad sandwiches sold in King Soopers and City Market grocery stores in several mountain states have been recalled over fears of listeria contamination.
Denver-based King Soopers, a division of The Kroger Co., recalled the prepackaged, 6.8 oz deli sandwiches from stores in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming. No illnesses related to the product had been reported as of Sept. 27.
Recalled product has UPC number 663209-02050 and sell-by dates of Sept. 20-28. King Soopers was notified on Sept. 21 by the product’s manufacturer, Journey Cuisine, that it could be contaminated with listeria.
