The makers of Tillamook cheese have partnered with a global marketing agency in an effort to shift their marketing focus.
The Tillamook, Oregon-based Tillamook County Creamery Association has hired Detroit-based The Mars Agency to shift Tillamook’s product-centric marketing approach to one focused on retailers and shoppers.
“During the pitch process, the Mars team demonstrated a high level of strategic thinking and unique retailer insights and know-how,” says John Russell, Tillamook’s vice president of marketing. “We are certain that they can help us achieve out significant and accelerated growth goals.”
The 108-year-old Tillamook County Creamery Association is comprised of almost 90 farmers.
