The Kroger Co. is collaborating with Edgewater Wireless Systems to enhance its instore infrastructure with the next generation WifFi platform, powered by Edgewater's WiFi3 technology.
Kroger is aiming to create a more seamless shopping experience for its customers with a number of innovations: QueVision, a solution to speed up checkout wait times; EDGE, a digital engagment shelving unit that can sense when a consumer is walking down the aisle with the company's app open; and FAST (Food at Safe Temperature), an IoT sensor technology that monitors temperatures in freezers and coolers to ensure continuous and safe temperatures, helping preserve food quality.
All of these technologies and others will be enhanced by the WiFi3 powered next generation platform, according to Edgewater.

The next generation WiFi platform will give Kroger customers top WiFi performance on their personal smart devices to enhance their shopping experiences.
