SAN FRANCISCO — Norseland Inc. officially launched its new line of Lotito brand Italian street foods at the Winter Fancy Food Show Jan. 21-23.
Product ships frozen, then is fried and sold ready-to-eat at retail, says Valerie Liu, Norseland marketing manager. Given the popularity of street foods, the line has “good marketing possibilities,” Liu says.
Not on shelves yet, the line features cheese-filled items from Naples (Mini Calzoncelli), Rome (Battered and Stuffed Zucchini Flowers, Suppli Croquettes) and Sicily (Breaded Mini Eggplant and Mozzarella Bites, Mini Arancini, Medium Arancini and Large Arancini).
Items are served with marinara or other Italian dipping sauces.
