According to multiple reports, Costco is testing self-service food kiosks in locations around Southern California and beyond.
The Orange County Register says Costco locations in Tustin and Pacoima have the new computerized ordering systems, which were installed at the first of the month.
Shoppers use the touch-screen kiosks to order and then click to pay with a credit of debit card. Food is picked up at the pickup window with a receipt. The Resister report says a test order of a salad, hot dog and soda took about two minutes from ordering to pick-up.
Other reports say the new food court system has been spotted in Los Angeles, Tuscon, Arizona, and Covington, Washington.
