BelGioioso Cheese was awarded eight medals out of a total of 3,402 entries from 26 countries during the World Championship Cheese contest, held in early March in Madison, Wisconsin. The company earned four gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal, all of which will be awarded to BelGioioso at the bi-annual awards ceremony in April.
"Our Creamy Gorgonzola and Parmesan were recognized as best in the world, along with our Mascarpone and Fresh Mozarella Snacking Cheese," says Errico Auricchio, BelGioioso's president. "Four very different cheeses. This shows the world that our quality is consistent across our entire line."
In addition to the gold medals for the Parmesan, Mascarpone, Mozzarella and Creamy Gorgonzola, BelGioioso got silvers for its Crema di Mascarpone, Black Truffle Burrata and Aged Provolone Mandarini. It was awarded a bronze for its La Bottega di BelGioioso Crumble Gorgonzola with Sheep's Milk.
