Specialty food packaging leader Anchor Packaging Inc. has named a new executive.

Richard Daniels is Ballwin, Missouri-based Anchor’s new vice president for strategy and information technology. Daniels has more than 30 years’ experience in plastics packaging and technology, manufacturing, and innovation at companies including Monsanto, Solutia, and Honeywell.

Most recently, Daniels served as chief operating officer and co-founder of a successful consumer-electronics company acquired by Harman International.

“Rich’s unique skill set will help leverage Anchor’s leadership in product innovation, manufacturing automation, and consumer insights by utilizing the latest technology, integrated with our Oracle ERP system, to optimize our entire enterprise for the benefit of our customers,” says Jeffrey Wolff, Anchor’s president.

Anchor’s products include packaging for hot to-go foods in retail foodservice and other foodservice channels.
