The 2019-2020 American Customer Satisfaction Index Retail and Consumer Shipping Report found that customer satisfaction with supermarkets sits at 78 points, only rivaled by the specialty retail and internet retail markets.
At the top of customer satisfaction in the Supermarket sector are Trader Joe’s, Wegmans and H-E-B, which are tied at 84 points. Wegman’s and H-E-B join Trader Joe’s, which held sole possession for the lead last year.
Next in line sit Aldi, Costco and Publix at 83 points, followed by BJ’s at 82 points. Walmart sits at the bottom of the line up with 73 points.
Scores held steady compared to the 2018-2019 survey with individual stores fluxuating with a 1-4% change in score.
