WASHINGTON – According to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), approximately 1,202 lbs of ready-to-eat chicken salad was recalled by Richmond, Va.-based Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods due to the possible inclusion of almonds, an allergen that was not identified on the product label.
The suspected product was packaged in 15 oz round plastic containers labeled as “Ukrop’s Chicken Salad,” with a sell-by date of Aug. 26, 2020. The products were shipped to retailers in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia with a label that includes the establishment number: P-19979 in the mark of inspection.
There are no known incidents of adverse effects as a result of consumption of the products, according to the FSIS.
