WESTMINSTER, COLO. – Which is the better breakfast meat, sausage or bacon? Now, thanks to Niman Ranch, breakfast fans don’t have to make that tough decision. The meat company is introducing its new Applewood Smoked Bacon Breakfast Sausage. The links are made from Niman Ranch’s artisanal uncured bacon.
“As bacon sales continue to soar, and breakfast takes on new importance with virtual work and school, we made the decision to expand the only way we knew how: more bacon in more products.” said Drew Calvert, Niman Ranch’s vice president of Prepared Pork, “The flavor profile is excellent and we’re thrilled to offer an exciting new way to enjoy bacon.”
In addition to the new bacon sausage links, Niman Ranch is also introducing its Vermont Maple links for those who have a sweet tooth and want the perfect accompaniment for a stack of pancakes. Both breakfast sausage varieties can be cooked in five minutes.
The products are made from Certified Humane meat sourced from small, independent family farms and ranchers.
According to Mintel, 62% of consumers are making more breakfasts from scratch due to adjustments in lifestyles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A recent report from sales and marketing agency Acosta found that even after the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, 47% of US consumers plan to eat breakfast out less often.
