VANCOUVER, BC — Vejii’s purchase of a platform for plant-based products will allow the company to get more plant-based products to independent grocers.

Vejii, an online marketplace for plant-based and sustainable products, bought VEDGEco USA Inc., a leading wholesale platform.

VEDGEco provides restaurants and independent grocers with a large selection of high-quality plant-based options, according to Vejii. 

This makes it possible for small business owners to access plant-based products without the need to meet the requirements that typical larger national distributors have in place, such as large minimum order sizes

Brands on the Vejii platform that have been seeking to make the leap from e-commerce to grocery and foodservice distribution will also be supported by this acquisition and will gain access to both grocery and foodservice distribution directly through Vejii as well.
