WEST NYACK, NY — Abe’s Vegan Muffins, which specializes in allergy-friendly and vegan baked goods, is partnering with the movie “Minions: The Rise of Gru” on a back-to-school promotion. 

In collaboration with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment, Abe’s will launch a limited edition, Minions-inspired product to help spread the word about the upcoming movie: the Banana Chip Mini Muffin.

Abe’s will offer retail partners custom in-store signage calling out the collaboration to vegan and “school-friendly” categories next to its display.

The promotion will run from August to mid-October. The Minions Banana Chip Mini Muffins will be available in 6 and 12-packs. 6-packs have an SRP of $3.49-$4.49, 12-packs $5.49-$6.49.

Abe’s said it receives many consumer requests for a banana-flavored mini-muffin each month. After releasing a banana pound cake in 2020, the flavor quickly became the company’s best-selling pound cake variety.
