LOS ANGELES — The demand for plant-based protein brings innovation to the Asian fresh noodle category. 

On June 7, JSL Foods, Inc. announced a new product for its Fortune brand, the Yakisoba Teriyaki Bowl with Vegan Chicken. 

The Yakisoba Teriyaki Bowl is Non-GMO Verified and Vegan Certified, with the diced vegan chicken providing 26 grams of plant-based protein per serving. 

“We know consumers are looking for new and convenient ways to incorporate plant-based foods into their everyday diets,” said Wayne Nielsen, vice president of sales and marketing at JSL Foods, Inc.  

“We believe our new Yakisoba Teriyaki Bowl is the perfect match for consumers looking for meat alternatives that are ready to heat and eat,” he said. 

The Yakisoba Teriyaki Bowl is going to retail shelves this month with the plan to increase retail distribution through the end of the year.
