BOULDER, COLO. — Products from meat alternative startup Meati Foods hit the shelves at three Sprouts Farmers Market locations on July 18. The company plans to increase distribution to all Sprouts Farmers Market stores by the end of the year. 

Meati’s current available products are the Meati Cutlet, Meati Crispy Cutlet and Meati Steak Filet. 

The meat alternative products are unique by being whole-cut and made up of 95% mushroom root structure. Each serving contains 25 grams of protein and more than one-third of the recommended amount of daily fiber. 

Prior to this retail launch, Meati got its start in Birdcall restaurants as a meat alternative for any sandwich on the menu, including a special sandwich named after the brand. Meati is now available at all nine Birdcall locations in Colorado and Arizona.
