Abilene Natural Grocers is hosting a two-day celebration on April 22 and April 23 to celebrate Earth Day and to thank customers for their continued support over the past five years. The festivities will include a legendary tasting station, ice cream social, interactive demos, chair massages and other fun surprises.
The five-year birthday celebration could not be possible without the support of the loyal customers who live in Abilene, which is why Natural Grocers is pulling out all stops in this two-day bash to thank them for their patronage.
"Natural Grocers has prioritized establishing a strong relationship with the community to better understand the needs of local families," said Matt Teten, Abilene store manager. "The local community has embraced Natural Grocers and allowed us to help them live a healthier lifestyle and we are so grateful."
On Friday, April 22, Earth Day, each customer will receive a "happy sun" reusable grocery bag and all {N}power customers will earn a special monetary offer for a future visit. From 4 to 6 p.m., customers can sample pasture-based dairy, summer sausage and 100 percent organic product, all good4u and good4 the planet.
That same day, Natural Grocers will also run a day-long promotion on Alter Eco Heirloom Quinoa, Dr. Bronner's Organic Coconut Oil, Seventh Generation Laundry Detergents, titanium sporks and the "Cows Save the Planet" book.
On Saturday, April 23, birthday festivities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A complimentary "Can Your Food Save The Planet?" nutrition education class kicks off at 11 a.m., followed by active demos at 12 p.m. From 2 to 4 p.m., customers are invited to satisfy their sweet tooth at an ice cream social.
