The company’s meat snacks will be available at Southeastern Grocers, Cub Foods, Lunds/Byerly’s, Fresh Thyme, Lowes Foods, AAFES, Holiday Oil, Timewise, Family Express and Dash In.
Nearly 83,000 total turkeys were affected — 30,100 turkey breeder replacement hens, 19,200 turkey breeder hens and 33,400 commercial meat turkeys, according to data from the USDA.
“USDA’s inaction amplifies the economic uncertainty facing hog farmers at a time when profitability for farrow-to-finish hog operations is already at its worst level in more than two decades,” the committee said.
