The issue was reported to FSIS after the ground beef product was submitted to a third-party laboratory for microbiological analysis and the sample tested presumptive positive for E. coli O157:H7.
The plant will operate under federal inspection and have the capacity to process up to 1,600 head of cattle per day, bringing 400 new jobs to Williamson County.
The agency stated that it plans to partner with the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund to make $123 million in grants available through the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program (MPPEP).
