NEW YORK — Vandemoortele USA has introduced its new Maple Pecan Cake and Cookies ‘N Cream Pie to instore bakeries.
According to the company, the new desserts are “responsibly sourced and sustainably packaged.”
The Maple Pecan Cake is a soft traybake with a creamy maple center and pecans. Vandemoortele said it is great as a morning coffee cake or a dessert following dinner.
The Cookies ‘N Cream Pie has a cocoa shortbread crust, a dense chocolate and vanilla filling, and cookie crumbles sprinkled on top.
According to Vandemoortele, the desserts are made with:
- No artificial flavors or colors
- No preservatives
- Sustainably-sourced cocoa
- Barn eggs
- Sustainable palm oil
“These two new desserts are deceptively easy to store and serve, making the high quality from all-natural ingredients and excellent taste that much more surprising and rewarding,” the company said.
Vandemoortele said its cardboard packaging for the desserts is resealable and “allows cakes to be served and preserved efficiently. Desired portions can be thawed while the rest of the dessert can be stored in the freezer until needed.”
