ORLANDO, FLA. — Cinco de Mayo marks the beginning of the National Mango Board’s peak season, and to celebrate, the organization is kicking off its annual ‘Cinco de Mango’ marketing campaign.
“As we reach the height of the season, we’re hoping to inspire our consumers to find unique ways to incorporate mango into their Cinco de Mayo celebrations and beyond,” said Dan Spellman, National Mango Board’s director of marketing. “Our Cinco de Mango campaign is a fun and flavorful opportunity to create buzz around one of summertime’s favorite superfruit, while also educating fans on its health benefits.”
The National Mango Board said mangoes have more than 20 vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and pair perfectly with bold and spicy flavors. The organization recommends eating them fresh with Tajín or using them in salsa, taco and margarita recipes.
