DS Smith’s DryPack, an award-winning fish box made from cardboard with insulating properties that are ideal for shipping fish, is now available in the US.

DryPack boxes, which have been used in Europe for almost 20 years, are water-resistant, easy to store and 100% recyclable, and they can replace traditional EPS and plastic solutions.

“DS Smith is excited to provide the North American seafood industry with a proven, 100% recyclable, fiber-based box that meets uncompromising standards for transporting fresh fish,” said Steven Rose, managing director of packaging for DS Smith North American Packaging and Paper. “By shipping empty DryPack seafood boxes flat at a lower cost — and offering customers an alternative to EPS boxes — we can support seafood processors in their efforts to increase efficiency and reduce supply chain costs.”
