BOISE, IDAHO. — Albertsons Cos. officially has launched its redesigned Open Nature brand, refreshing the company’s Own Brands private label portfolio that includes Signature Select, Lucerne Dairy Farms and more.
Open Nature’s relaunch adds 12 new offerings to its assortment of plant-based products, including several flavors of dairy-free yogurt alternatives, non-dairy frozen desserts and non-dairy cream and shredded cheeses. The private label also has added a new line of 100% grass-fed Angus beef free from antibiotics and added hormones.
“As we continue to innovate and grow our portfolio, we want to ensure that our customers have diverse options, high-quality products and thoughtfully chosen ingredients at accessible prices,” said Brandon Brown, senior vice president of Own Brands at Albertsons Cos. “The expansion of our Open Nature offerings demonstrates an ongoing commitment to support the health and well-being of our neighbors and communities.”
The brand originally began in 2011 as a natural meat provider, but it has since grown to include more than 500 products ranging from fresh beef, pork and chicken to upcycled paper towels and compostable cutlery. In its reimagined state, Open Nature is now aimed at health-conscious consumers seeking affordable foods, with Mr. Brown pointing specifically to the rise in consumers using health and wellness focused diets as a method of long-term and preventative health care.
Consumers can find Open Nature’s newest products in Albertsons, Safeway, Vons and other Albertsons Cos. banner stores.
